Behind the Scenes

Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies

Men and women working in Sheridan's Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies.

Sheridan’s Centre for Advanced Manufacturing and Design Technologies trains the next generation of manufacturing professionals, and features leading-edge equipment to help Canadian manufacturers compete.

The 40,000-sq.-ft. Centre at Davis Campus is home to the most sophisticated 3D commercial printers of any Canadian university or college.

Sheridan partners engineering students with local businesses in need of 3D printing work, including rapid prototyping of new products. Students acquire experience not easily taught in a traditional classroom. Applications of 3D printing are endless: medicine, manufacturing and the arts.

Hargurdeep Singh is the 2014 Ontario Co-op Student of the Year and President/Founder, Sheridan Engineering Association. Hear his take on the potential of 3D printing.
